Security has always been something that we take very seriously here at BizStream. In the past 2 years, we’ve worked extremely hard to meet and in some cases exceed security requirements for our software including YouthCenter and CaseStream.
Recently, we’ve been getting questions regarding a critical vulnerability in Java-Based software known as Log4j. Many large organizations use this to configure their applications and it poses potential risks for much of the internet. The vulnerability in Log4j is, “one of the most serious flaws” as described by the head of the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
The good news is that as a user of YouthCenter or CaseStream, you do not need to be concerned about this vulnerability as our case management software is not affected by the Log4j vulnerability because our systems and code-base do not rely on the infrastructure that uses it.
If you or your IT department has any questions regarding the security of our software, please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.
