One of the coolest things about Youth Center is that it is so flexible. Once we know what we want, the people at YouthCenter have been awesome as far as providing the modifications and changes.

To my knowledge, there are no case management systems for the juvenile system. YouthCenter was developed for juvenile courts and juvenile detention facilities. All the other off-the-shelf software packages were developed for adults. Juvenile is an afterthought. YouthCenter accommodates all the nuances of the juvenile courts as well as the detention side. That’s critical. It is a great tool. I honestly don’t know what I would do without it.

Historically, we relied on very manual, paper-driven methods to track information. Keeping records up to date was always a problem. We didn’t have an organized system to track and manage all of those pieces of paper. But YouthCenter allows you to, in real time, document information as well as alert and share information with key people involved in that case.

YouthCenter shines in the follow up support. Years after purchase we are still getting support and assistance whenever it is needed. YouthCenter is regularly updated and we are clearly informed what changes we can expect to see from the update. We are regularly asked for our input when the system is making changes that are most helpful to the actual users.

The case management program is user friendly and therefore ideal for training new staff for agencies that have high turnover. The customer service that is available is like no other. I wish our internal IT department could respond as quickly to technical problems as the highly trained and personable YouthCenter staff does.
