Past Incidents

Issue with Connectivity to Legacy Systems

Resolution:

System resources spiked. We rebooted all systems and YouthCenter and CaseStream application are working as expected. We will continue to monitor to help avoid this issue in the future.

Issue:

As of 7:00 AM EDT we have noted an issue with connectivity to the YouthCenter “Legacy”  and CaseStream systems.  CaseStream users may login and receive a blank screen. YouthCenter users may experience issues with the “Legacy” or “Old System” we are working on resolving the issue.

Reports that Live Sites are Down

Resolution:

As of 1pm all systems appear to be coming back online.

BizStream is dedicated to supporting our customers and providing a robust platform. As a part of that commitment, we are in the process changing hosting providers and moving to a cloud based infrastructure. In fact our beta sites are already moved over and they are still available. The remainder of the sites will be moved over in the coming weeks.

Issue:

6/21/2019 – 12:45pm – The issue appears to be at our hosting provider. We’re working closely with our hosting provider to get it taken care of as soon as possible. We’ll give you updates as they become available.

6/21/2019 – 12:30pm – We received reports that live sites for both YouthCenter and CaseStream are down. We are investigating the issue

Reports of Email Issues

Resolution:

The mail relay for our primary host was extremely slow in delivering mail. Despite attempts to fix the solution with our application host, they were not able to resolve the issue. To resolve service, BizStream moved YouthCenter and CaseStream application messaging to a new cloud based mail relay. This migration was inevitable with our migration plan, however was expedited with this issue.

On 1/17/2019 at 5:00 pm ET, service has been restored with the new mail relay.

Issue:

1/13/2019 – We received reports that emails are not going out or are being released slowly from both YouthCenter and CaseStream systems. We have investigated and the issue appears to be with our email provider.

1/14/2019 – The issue is with the email relay. Our provider is working on the issue.

1/15/2019 – A fix within the email relay did not resolve the issue.

1/17/2019 – Email provider has not resolved the issue, BizStream is working to change relay servers to resolve the issue.

Systems are Experiencing an Outage

Resolution:

The YouthCenter and CaseStream systems experienced an outage starting around 2:30 am this morning.There was a DNS issue with our hosting vendor.

This outage effected sites using the bizstream.com domain. YouthCenter users who were logging in via their youthcenter.net domain still had access to the system, however access to the old interface was limited.

Along with access to the bizstream.com domain, the outage also affected our email routing. If you did not hear from us during the outage, it was due to the extended outage of our email.

As of approximately 11:30 am, we received confirmation that all issues have been resolved.

Issue:

YouthCenter and CaseStream systems are experiencing an outage which started around 2:30 am this morning. 

System Outage

Resolution:

All systems have returned to normal as of June 21st @ 10:30am

Issue:

The issue was due to a hardware problem with one of BizStream’s vendors.

The issue has been resolved and we are working with the vendor to avoid this type of interruption in the future.

While outages are rare, they may occur.  We are always looking to improve our systems and add redundancy. In this case, the issue was due to a redundancy system in our hosting environment. It should be noted that not all users were effected by this outage.

Severe Weather Server Outages

Resolution:

BizStream experienced server outages caused from the severe weather that occurred this morning here in West Michigan. As of 10:30am, it appears all applications are up and running however the application may run slow or access may be intermittent.

While outages are rare, they can occur.  We are always looking to improve our systems and add redundancy.  In this case, the redundancy in our hosting environment failed.

As of 8am, the YouthCenter and CaseStream systems are experiening server outages which appear to be caused by the severe weather here in West Michigan.
